Open Lapping Rules
**The GBFOS is a great opportunity to take your vehicle out on a professional race track. Please respect all drivers/riders sharing the track. Anyone deemed to be demonstrating unsafe conduct will be black flagged and removed from the track. Watch for marshal flags and react accordingly.**
Ownership
All competitors must be the owner of the vehicle they are driving/riding for open lapping
No Race Licence is required for Lapping Sessions
Era
All machines manufactured 2000 or earlier are welcome
Tech
All Open Lapping vehicles presented to GBFOS Tech Team are expected to be well prepared and generally safe.

Motorcycle

- Any issues found during inspection will be addressed/corrected by the vehicle owner and reinspected by tech
- Strict "No Leak" policy in effect -- particular attention will be paid to oil and fluid containment
- Final decision on entry to race events is at the discretion of GBFOS Tech Team
- Tech sticker will be distributed upon passing inspection -- must be displayed in plain view for track officials
- NO vehicle will be permitted on track at any time without a valid tech sticker
Vehicle Preparation
- Tape over or remove lights and signals
- Cover speedometer with tape
- Any external parts that may come loose should be removed (fairings, mirrors, etc.)
- Fasten motorcycle stands in the upright position (tie wraps are acceptable)
Open Lapping Procedures
- Pace car will be present during all open lapping sessions
- The pace car is NOT to be passed
- Passing of other open lapping vehicles permitted ONLY on front and back straights
- All passing areas will be clearly marked with red and green flags on the track
- No passengers allowed in/on any vehicle

- Current full-face DOT approved helmet
